SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
Every recipient. Every year. The Chairman's scholarship has been opening doors for students across the LVD Tribal Community, and every dollar of it comes from the tournament you're being invited to support.
Fifteen students whose education the Chairman's Invitational supports this year, from Madison to Alaska, from law school to acting, from engineering to social work.

"I hope to transfer to UW Madison to further my education and get a bachelor's degree."

"To create sustainable economic and policy solutions that honor our sovereignty and culture."

"Becoming a construction engineer and eventually start my own company."

"My main goal after college would be to open a restaurant where I would prioritize employing youth, but more importantly to me, tribal youth, so they can learn skills in the hospitality industry.

"I look forward to becoming an economic consultant to help businesses with solving economic issues, and to implement economic strategies for tribal communities for improved living, opportunities, and the preservation of culture."

"After graduation, I plan to begin my career in public accounting. Within two years I aim to earn my CPA license, and use my background in business and accounting to give back — supporting local organizations, mentoring others, and helping small businesses.

"After completing my Master of Science in Industrial Heritage and Archaeology, I'll continue working in the interdisciplinary field of social sciences as an anthropologist, archaeologist, and cultural resource specialist, eyeing doctoral programs in the near future."

"Post-graduation I hope to work in the entertainment industry coordinating live performances and events."

"After completing my degree, I plan to pursue a master's program and become a Restoration Ecologist with a focus on Indigenous land use — restoring ecosystems while honoring traditional ecological knowledge."

"To work at an engineering company in Colorado Springs."

"I will continue pursuing my goal of becoming a Physical Therapist while continuing to learn my language of Ojibwemowin, implementing diverse cultural lifestyles, including Anishnaabe, alongside Physical Therapy for a balanced framework of health and longevity."

"I plan to come and work for the tribe after graduation to use my Business Degree, whether in marketing or accounting. Tribal Council is also a future goal down the road."

"After I graduate with my MSW in 2026, I hope to return to my community to share what I've learned. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to pursue a higher education and would like to give back to show my appreciation."

"My goals after graduation include using my law degree to positively impact tribal communities. I hope my passion for cultural preservation combined with my law degree can initiate change, specifically, protecting Native languages."

"To become a successful actor in the film industry."
Eighteen students supported by the Chairman's scholarship in 2024, many of whom continue their studies with our support today.
